Ngo Han Joint Stock Company (“Ngo Han”) is the leading professional manufacturer of magnet wire in Vietnam, with approximately 40% market share. The company produces both round and rectangular magnet wire of various sizes. Magnet wire is used primarily in motors, transformers, ballasts, voltage stabilizers, electronic components and other items used to generate or transform electromagnetic fields.

Ngo Han’s production of magnet wire involves melting copper cathodes into copper rods, drawing and rolling copper rods into thin round wires and flat wires and then coating the wires with enamel or wrapping them with insulating paper. The Company uses the most sophisticated European production equipment in Vietnam to produce oxygen-free copper rod and high quality magnet wires.

Ngo Han's revenues achieved $32 million in 2006. Ngo Han’s revenues have grown at 49% per year over the three years ending in 2006, while their net profit has grown at a rate of 82% per year over those same three years. For fiscal year 2007, its revenues are expected to rocket to $60 million thanks to its double capacity.

Mekong Enterprise Fund made an investment in Ngo Han in April 2004, and Mekong Enterprise Fund II made of follow-on investment in January 2007.

Ngo Han has foreign-made state-of-the-art testing facilities. The Company’s products have been applied European, Japanese and American quality standards. Ngo Han has ISO9001:2000, ISO14001 and SA8000 certification issued by DNV as well as certification by Underwriters Laboratory (U/L) for a number of specific wire products. Ngo Han was the first magnet wire producer in Vietnam to receive U/L certification on its products.

History

Ngo Han was founded in 1987.

Together with 5 other enterprises, Ngo Han was selected in the first screening of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee's Program for the Development of the City’s Key Industrial Products in 2003-2005.

The Company has a factory in Phuoc Thai Village, Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province and an office in Ho Chi Minh City. Ngo Han employs around 180 people.
